Lets talk about how cool and fun the rink is, then go into the rules and warnings…
The Rink at Hard’ack is constructed and maintained by volunteers. Please respect the rink and all of it’s rules. The rules are as follows:
Outdoor ice has imperfections not normally encountered on indoor rinks. Like all sports & recreational activities, ice skating can be dangerous. By visiting the rink you are acknowledging such and are skating at your own risk.
- Share the Ice
- No Games are Permitted That Will Interfere With Other Skaters
- Helmets Required at All Times
- Keep the Rink Clean. Place All Garbage in Trash Cans!
- No Checking or Body Contact
- No Slap Shots
- Sticks May Not Come Above the Knees
- No Pucks Above the Knees
- No Goalie Equipment Allowed on the Ice
- Please Remove Goals from Rink Surface After Use
- No Smoking in the Warming Hut or On the Ice Rink.
- Hard’Ack is Not Responsible for the Loss or Theft of Personal Belongings.
- Report All Accidents, Infractions, Injuries, and Damages to Hard’Ack Staff.
Public Skating Hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. During these hours sticks and pucks are prohibited from the ice.
Failure to comply with any of the rules will result in the loss of future use of the rink.
Don’t forget to shovel the rink when you are done. The volunteers and everyone who skates thanks you!
Recommended equipment for novice or beginning skaters: Helmet, elbow pads, knee pads/shin guards, protective/thick gloves.
